ERP (Tail) Coverage Insurance

An extended reporting period (ERP) is a feature you can add to your claims-made professional liability insurance policy. It allows you to report claims even after your policy expires. This policy endorsement is also known as Tail Coverage. While many variations on the ERP exist, the basic purpose, function, and operation of the ERP are fairly standard.

Here are a few examples of when ERP is needed:

  • Leaving Current or Past Employer
  • Gaps in Coverage
  • Medical Professional Liability Policy Cancellation
  • Changing Medical Designations and Specialty
  • Retirement or End of Medical Career

We can discuss your individual needs and what may work best for you.
